Meet Kevin

Congressman Kevin Mullin was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022. He represents California’s 15th Congressional District, which sits on the San Francisco Bay Peninsula and includes much of San Mateo County and South East San Francisco County.

After just two years serving in Congress, House Democratic Leadership appointed Kevin to the influential House Energy & Commerce Committee, where he serves on the Energy Subcommittee and Commerce Manufacturing & Trade Subcommittee.

Energy and Commerce is the oldest Committee in the House, and has the broadest jurisdiction of any Congressional Committee, touching almost all aspects of the American economy. In this role, Kevin is responsible for matters including telecommunications, consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health and research, environmental quality, energy policy, and interstate and foreign commerce, among others.

Kevin began his career in public service as a South San Francisco City Councilmember and Mayor before being elected to the California State Assembly, where he served as Speaker pro Tempore. In the California Assembly, he authored more than 60 bills that were signed into law including landmark legislation pioneering all vote-by-mail elections and combating dark money in state campaigns. Prior to serving in elected office, he was also a small business owner in South San Francisco, operating KM2 Communications, a communications and video production company.
